Privacy Policy

Entrain is built to respect your privacy. We collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and the audio you listen to is generated on your device — never recorded or sent anywhere.
Who we are
Entrain is made by Ayrvon LLC, a company based in the United States ("Entrain", "we", "us"). We make a brainwave-entrainment app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac, with a free web player. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the app and this website, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect
Entrain is built to work without an account, and we do not run a server that gathers your personal data. In short:
- No account, no personal data. Entrain has no login or user account. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, or any identifier that identifies you.
- Subscription status (handled by Apple & RevenueCat). Entrain Pro is purchased through your Apple ID, and Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, to validate and keep track of whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your purchase information and assigns an anonymous app-user identifier — it does not receive your name, email, or card details, and Apple never shares your payment details with us. RevenueCat is our service provider and does not use this data for advertising. We never receive or store your card details or payment information.
- Diagnostics (optional, through Apple). If you have chosen to share crash and usage diagnostics with developers in your Apple device settings, Apple may provide us with aggregate, anonymous reports to help us fix bugs. Apart from RevenueCat (subscription management, above), we use no third-party analytics or advertising SDK, and none of this builds an advertising profile of you.
- Your data stays in your device and your iCloud. Your presets, session history, and settings are stored on your device and synced across your own devices (iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch) through your private iCloud, using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. This uses your own iCloud account — we never receive or see this data, and there is no Entrain account or server. All entrainment audio is generated on-device in real time — never recorded, stored, or transmitted — and Entrain does not access your microphone.
How we use information
- To provide the app and unlock your Entrain Pro subscription.
- To diagnose crashes and improve Entrain, using the optional aggregate diagnostics described above.
- To respond to your support requests if you email us.
- To meet legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data sharing
Because we collect so little, there is very little to share. The only situations are:
- Apple. Apple handles all payments and subscriptions, and the optional diagnostics you choose to share. Their handling of your information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
- RevenueCat. We share your anonymous app-user identifier and purchase information with RevenueCat solely to manage your subscription. Their handling is governed by RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or Entrain.
Data retention
Your data lives on your device and in your own private iCloud, not on our servers — we keep no server-side profile of you. You can erase it all from within the app (Menu → Delete data), which also clears the synced iCloud copy. Any aggregate, anonymous diagnostics provided by Apple cannot identify you and may be retained to understand long-term trends.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. These include rights under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), among others.
Because your data is stored on your device, you can remove all of it by deleting the app. For anything else, email support@getentrain.com and we'll help. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
Entrain is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Health data
Entrain does not use Apple Health (HealthKit) and does not collect any health data.
International transfers
Because Entrain does not collect your personal data on our servers, we do not transfer your personal data internationally. Where you use Apple's services (payments, diagnostics), Apple handles any such transfers under its own policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of Entrain after an update means you accept the revised policy.
